The House We Designed for SXSW

How we made Austin weirder for 3 nights with brain-tingling experiential design.

In the brand-heavy world of SXSW, where corporate visuals abound, Warner Music Group needed to stand out—and they did, with an electric color palette and a handmade aesthetic reminiscent of the wilder screen-printed gig posters on 6th Street. We also chose to handwrite the type for practical reasons, maintaining ambiguity around the size of each artist's name to prevent disputes over billing priority—a common industry concern for festival organizers.
